All the Pics

Friends and loved ones, I shall ask for how much forgiveness? Just take a look at the sampling from the last few months and you'll forget how lame I am. In my/our defense, we've sold the house, moved in with MooMoo, ALL FOUR of us have had the flu and here we are.

Our little Mad Hatter. Lydia has become an amazing story teller and pretender. She loves to practice different faces and voices.

This one quiet morning I almost saw what Lydia is going to look like when she's older. I was both excited and sad, she's already grown up faster than we expected. As you can tell, she is my muse.

Here we are, leaving for good on closing day, 10.27.09. The move was so painless, ask anyone...

The very weekend we moved in with MooMoo (Halloween), Lydia woke up, took a step outside into the unseasonably warm October morning and had three instant leaf-pile-jumping-and-throwing friends to enjoy. She, of course, was meticulous about raking until the pile was perfect and the four new friends took turns jumping. She was thrilled and it was dreamy watching her play with other, older kids...

Miss thing on the playground. Lydia, of course, believes one must always look her best when leaving the house, no matter where you're off to.

Hey, little man. He's been-a-walkin' since October 17th. YES, 10 months old. Garnet is honestly the most loving little boy. He laughs and smiles as much as possible. He even manages to smile through crying, he cannot bear to have another person smiling in his direction without reciprocating. He is also very chatty. He doesn't have any REAL words, yet but he actually wakes up in the night, talking to himself and laughing and quickly nodding back to sleep.

Both Garnet and Lydia love looking out this front window at MooMoo's. There's always something to watch or hear or sometimes they just stand there waiting for the next thing. It's very sweet.

We went to a new park and discovered some seriously exciting rides and activities. A beautiful day.

Such goofy boys? LOVING.

The sometimes serious side of Garnet Ace.

More playground.

Lydia on the see-saw with Daddy and lounging with Mama.

Come on! Our little blonde boy is just a constant photo op.

Although Garnet is still too shaky on his feet for Lydia's rough rough rough-housing, they are able to sometimes have a tender and loving moment together. Lydia is learning how to be more gentle and she'll likely master that as soon as Garnet starts roughing her up. They have the most fun wrestling and laughing on the bed - the only safe place.

Another day at the playgound.

Isn't this hilarious? Garnet does this dowfacing dog move all the time. He almost looks like he's trying to do a head stand. He can hang out like that for, like, a minute.

Hey there. A chilly, but fun day.

Garnet is beginning to look like a real little boy. No more baby.

MooMoo, Garnet, Lydia and Mama went to a windy seaside park while our weather still allowed.

Here comes Thanksgiving! Lydia had her first lesson in pie-baking with MooMoo. She actually helped make the crust AND she made her very first cinnamon roll out of the extra - just like Mama used to do. Lydia is so patient and interested when she cooks. She loves to learn, do things properly, measure...

We spent Thansgiving at Nick and Melissa's house (YUMMY). Aunt Melissa's Mom was too cool with Lydia and got her all dolled up for the occasion. Hair and make-up.

Peek-a-boo.

We FINALLY visited Cousin James and Celia and took a super fun winter walk on the beach with MooMoo, Auntie Lola and her two puppies (Bert and Ernie), James and Celia.

Lydia and her oldest friend, Yasmina. Lydia just adores her.
