Well, we DID IT! This could be in Chandler's top 5 moments of his life. Two dreamy kids skiing for the first time, under his tutelage and only moments from home. OK, OKAY, Chandler was the only one in skis and he did ALL the work, but it still counts. You gotta start somewhere and this was it.
Lydia took some convincing, but as soon as she took the first "run" with Daddy, she enjoyed herself. She is such a talented athlete, really strong and capable, but, like Mama, shy. She doesn't take to things in front of an audience. But we're skiing at home, down the driveway and she's much more daring.
Garnet Ace, well... pried him from the mountain kicking and screaming. He loves the sport so far. He even rode the lift a few days later, with Lydia's skis on, and took a real run, skis on the ground, with Daddy holding him up.
And away she goes...
Yup, point those toes toward each other...
Hey, wait... Mama was there, too. It was a truly fun day. Magical.
