I'm sorry blog-lovers.  We're having technical difficulties, but working on a fix.  Please keep checking as I will post again as soon as I can.  I already feel sick for missing two weeks.

LOVING

A Fit, New York, The Aquarium and Loving Water

Yes, this kind of fit. Watch our little Lady in action. I can't help it, I think it's adorable every once in a while. So you don't think we're cruel, you should know this particular fit was thrown because I wouldn't let Lydia play in the street.












And then we visited Papa, Nana and Uncle Jake and Aunt Dallas in New York. Uncle Jake just graduated high school and is off to Stetson in Florida to play baseball and continue his education. Lydia spent the weekend calling his name, trying to get his attention and then being coy. Lydia woke up Saturday morning asking for Dallas. Literally her first words of the day were, "Dallas, where's Dallas?". Papa blowed bubbles and entertained Lydia and Nana kissed her all over every chance she got. It was a very sweet, fun, family weekend which ended with a Colavito brunch with my Grandmother (THE BEST!), aunts, uncles and cousins.













Last week, Selene sent pictures of a birthday party and a trip to the aquarium! Lydia so loves Selene and Carlos (we are so lucky), all her friends and, Selene reports, Lydia loves watching the jelly fish.












More Lydia news. The other night as I was putting her to bed, she just looked up at me, put her hands on each side of my face and said, "I wuv you, Mama.". That's all I'll ever need.
She has started truly repeating every word and quite clearly. She also likes to "feed" her babies and she will spend every waking moment playing with water; in the sink, in a tub, in a pool, in a bowl, in a hose. WATER, WATER, WATER. She wants to pour it and spill it and splash it.

Vermont, VERMONT!

Lydia had her run of the planet in Vermont at Grandma and Grandpa's (Papa's?) house. She frolicked, played with Grandpa, chased puppies and was chased by puppies in the perfect, sunny, blue sky weather. She's never been so free and happy. With her space and company!

Lydia made a fast, new friend in Taylor - 10 years old and brilliant. They swinged (swung?), played piano and read books and truly enjoyed each other. I'm not sure who loved Taylor more, Lydia or her grateful and impressed parents.

And no little girl could resist watering the beautiful gardens created by Grandma and Grandpa. Lydia spent solid time refilling her watering can and feeding the flowers, lettuce, herbs... She learned a lot from Grandma!

BOAT! Lydia finally experienced our sweet deck boat and Lake Seymour this weekend, making her father as proud as the day she was born. She completed a big thought as well, "I want Daddy jump!". Into the water Daddy jumped. And then she wanted Uncle Thor to jump, so into the water the accomodating uncle jumped.

Somewhere along the way, Lydia became obsessed with great grandpa's tractor/mower and the safety headphones. OBSESSED.

When we returned home, Grandpo and Nan visited for a quick play date to Lydia's delight! She was hyper! And along came MooMoo for dinner and to help Lydia brush her teeth properly, which she wouldn't allow Mama to help her with.

Yard Sale Find

This week... MooMoo and I found some great outdoor activity toys for Lydia at a yard sale (a tunnel, some climbing things and a tent). She enjoyed them instantly.





As the weather has been so lovely, we also rediscovered some of last year's outdoor toys like the shopping cart you see Lydia sitting here with perfectly posed in front of the new front yard Daddy worked so hard on. Much more major home improvement also accomplished this week by same Daddy.


We also had a dreamy weekend visit with Amee and Jess. Lydia was hyperactive with excitement and show-offy behavior when they arrived and, of course, they played with her to her heart's content. Lydia woke up Saturday morning, "Where's Jess?". It's Tuesday and she asked, "Where's Jess. Where's Amee?".
The ladies went to Jess' baby shower while Daddy and Lydia played all day and then we all met over at Nick and Melissa's for a BBQ to end the weekend.



















Generally speaking, Lydia is becoming quite a little girl. She has strong opinions, is very independent and is beginning to express herself more clearly every day. You can actually have a (short) conversation with her.



In this little video, if you listen closely, Nick sneezes in the background. It takes a moment, but Lydia says "Bess oo.". It is very important to Lydia that no sneeze (within reason) goes unblessed.
