YES, we go all the way back to Easter. I'm very behind, but not for lack or want of trying. But recording this makes it all new again, Lydia's lovely amazement that the basket of presents appeared and 2 dozen eggs were hidden all while she slept. She was semi-prepped for the event, but when she woke up she slowly became more and more aware of the morning. She LOVED the egg hunt, explaining to us that the Easter Bunny was playing jokes on her.
Garnet is ROLLING OVER! Yes, all the way. He reaches for a toy and over he goes. And his LAUGH is beyond deep and genuine. He so completely adores Lydia that he'll laugh in anticipation as she approaches him. He is as sweet as ever, happy and growing strong. At his 4-month appointment his stats were 15 lbs, 25 1/2". Lydia was watching him in his playpen the other day and she said, "Hey. He looks like a PERSON.". I can't know for sure she is actually that astute, but I do believe.
Lydia truly enjoys her brother these days. She wants constantly to touch, grab, lift, tickle, soothe and entertain him. We, of course, are grateful for this, but have a lot of watching out to do cuz darling Lydia thinks she's capable of so much more than she really is. When Garnet laughs or smiles in response to her, Lydia exclaims, "He likes it!" or, "He likes me!". She is quite proud of herself.

Uncle Rob lulled him to sleep...

Great Grandma Florence enchanted the boy, her voice and smile turning his frown into a belly laugh. Magic.
Lydia has been enjoying the new weather. SO nice to be at Dad's where she has room to run and run and RUN. And she did just that with Nana and Aunt Rose Anne.
Lydia had good fun and spent some quality time with everyone. She spent at least 45 minutes digging in the dirt with Papa, an hour playing soccer with Nana and Aunt Rose Anne... And a walk to round out the day.

Aunt Dallas came home from Spring Break just in time to hold the boy and impress our girl. We need more Dallas all the time!!!

Upon our return to MA... Nick and Melissa hosted a belated Birthday evening for Nick. Nick wanted to make his own cake - coconut. It was his first baking experience and it was super success. What a cake!

By popular demand... Here is progress on the renovation...
Jesse the saint came for a weekend and powered through: floor joists, roughing in electric.

And, of course, brother has been instrumental. What would we do without him?
Putting in the drywall, a view from the kitchen of just the mudroom doorway cut out.
FINALLY, a moment with daddy. He's been working so hard day and night. His reward...

A blue sky day at our park.

Garnet's first trip INSIDE the barn at the farm and Lydia sees her first baby chicks.
Our favorite guests (not to offend any others) Jess (Jessie) and Sadie! They came early and spent the night with us. Sadie was a perfect match for both Lydia and Garnet. She played when Lydia needed and napped when Garnet needed.
Sidewalk chalk and another hot day.

PEACE, man.
