Lydia's First Day of School

OUR girl. She has a bunny rabbit lunch box, a zebra from BooBoo, Kristen and Madeline and a truly impressive excitement about entering society at three years old. I spent the previous evening writing her name in her clothes, on her special school blanket and sheet. A landmark moment of heavy happy heart, tears and sharpie marker. She is so impressive, I doubt the world has seen one like her, yet. Spoken like a true mama.

Three Original Tunes

These three little gems had to be posted the very day they were created. Lydia is a burgeoning songwriter INDEED. 

In case you noticed the bandaid on Lydia's left middle (yup) finger, she took a strange spill this weekend and tore off (yup, OFF) her entire middle fingernail along with some of the tip (yup, TIP) of her finger. I don't know. She cried for about an hour, we dosed her with Tylenol, gave her a cookie and here we are... She's playing right through the pain with a pick and everything.
